Night Lights (Durdle Door, Dorset)

from £80.00

This was chosen as the front cover of the Landscape Photographer of the Year photo book, and was commended in the 2022 competition.

I spent a wonderful night above Durdle Door watching the Milky Way rise as darkness fell. Just as I was preparing to take the shots, a group of people arrived down on the beach and started wandering around with their phone torches on, casting a horrible white light across the scene. I thought the whole night was going to be ruined until I realised they had been collecting firewood - suddenly the beach was lit with a wonderful warm light and I quickly repositioned to capture the scene. It really adds to the composition so I was very lucky they picked the same night to enjoy the stars as me!

This is a giclee fine art print on high quality, slightly textured paper. Other sizes available on request - please just contact me using the ‘contact’ section on the website. I suggest a simple black frame with white mount for all my photos.

These are limited edition prints with a white border and all are named and signed by me.
