Winter Arches (Gower, Wales)

from £80.00

I had been planning this shot for at least two years when, in January 2024, there was the right combination of crystal clear skies and a new moon. I drove to Three Cliffs Bay and spent the entire night under the stars. The foreground was taken at low tide, about 2 hours before the winter Milky Way moved into position. You can see quite a lot of nebulae in this panorama - Orion, California and Rosette, and the Andromeda galaxy is just about visible near the horizon, if you look carefully.

This is a giclee fine art print on high quality, slightly textured paper. Other sizes available on request - please just contact me using the ‘contact’ section on the website. I suggest a simple black frame with white mount for all my photos.

These are limited edition prints with a white border and all are named and signed by me.
